About Me
I am a New England based photographer living in Keene, New Hampshire. I love creating images that capture the beauty of life.
My Vision
We all see the world in a unique way, and my own photographic vision has been shaped by the interesting people and places that have been a part of my life. Before becoming a full time professional photographer, I worked as an educator in a variety of different contexts including training outdoor educators in Alaska, working with East African rangers and guides in Kenya, instructing graduate students in the art of science education, and teaching high school filmmaking & photography students. Although I didn't realize it at the time, these experiences were great preparation for the life of a photographer. Living in wild and natural places has given me an awareness of the beauty in life all around us, and working closely with others has given me the ability to connect with people in a way that makes for authentic photographs that are full of life. These experiences have have also given me the ability to be flexible and prepared for any situation!
Teaching & Learning
When I'm not behind the camera creating images, I enjoy teaching media arts and photography classes, working both in the classroom and with individuals. There are many new skills to learn as a digital photographer, and I help people master the technology to meet their photographic goals and artistic vision.
