You can tell a lot about people by their reaction to adverse weather. When I spoke to Kelley about her engagement session beforehand, we hoped for either some fun photos in the snow (she and Ross are both avid skiers), or photos with signs of the beginnings of spring. Well, we had neither. New England dished out some of it’s worst gray, drizzly, mud season weather. Kelley and Ross were undaunted by this, however, and we had a great time making beautiful photos outdoors in and around Colony Mill Market Place and at the Ashuelot River Park in Keene.
One of the things I love about engagement sessions is getting to know a couple before their wedding, and I really enjoyed spending time with Kelley and Ross. I discovered one of the things we have in common is a love of the outdoors. They are getting married at the Mountain Top Inn in Vermont in June, which is such a fitting outdoor venue for them to celebrate their love. I can’t wait!

Great pictures, Steve!
One can “feel the love”. Who needed the sun, when there was so much love to light up the day…
Anyway, with your artistic gifts, it is obvious you don’t need perfect weather
Thank you so much for the wonderful photo session on that rainy day. We had a lot of fun working with you and can’t wait for the big day in June. Our favorite one is the one of us on the bridge. Thanks again for meeting with us.
See you soon!!!
Kelley, I had a lot of fun working with you, too. I’m really looking forward to photographing your wedding!
What beautiful photos of my son and soon to be wonderful daughter in law. I can’t possibly pick out a favorite photo, for they are all so perfect. Mr Holmes, thank you for being a part of their special memories.
Hi Paula. They are such a beautiful couple. It was an honor to be able to create photos to celebrate their love for one another. I am excited for a more great memories in June!

Awesome photos. You two look great together.
Really nice photos! I guess you won’t have to worry about someone hiding in the woods to get some beautifully candid shots at the wedding! I’m a little protective of my “little sister”, so I want everything to be perfect. Now that I’ve seen your work Steve, I know Kelley and Ross are in good hands. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Heather. They made it easy for me! Glad to hear you like the photos. I look forward to meeting you at the wedding!
