Here is a selection of photos from a great engagement session I just had with Ashley and Joe. I first met them through their friends Melissa and Kris, whose wedding I photographed this June, so it was fun to be able to spend an evening photographing just the two of them.
Ashley and Joe chose to go back to their alma mater, Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH, for the session. They are big baseball fans, so we had fun starting with a baseball theme on the Plymouth State field with their Wildcat jerseys. We then headed to downtown Plymouth for a few photos by the gazebo and finished at the rec. room where they met and spent a lot of time together in college.
Engagement sessions are always a good chance for me to spend some time getting to know a couple and to give them a sense of what it will be like when I photograph their day. Based on the time we spent together during this weekend, I can tell we are going to have a great time working together on their wedding day in October.
We found some nice late afternoon light under the gazebo in downtown Plymouth.
It’s nice to have engagement photos in a place that is meaningful to a couple, and this rec. room was a place they spent a lot of time together as a new couple in college.
We had just enough light for a few photos outside next to a beautiful ivy covered building at Plymouth State.

You literally brought light into our lives! For what was a cloudy, overcast, and rainy day, these pictures show no trace of it. We couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much for making the experience fun and delightful and even more thanks for the amazing results! We will treasure these pictures for many many years to come.
