When Alison and Brad sent out their wedding invitations they made sure to invite as many friends and family as they could, because in their humble minds, they expected more than a few guests wouldn’t be able to make the trip. But Ali and Brad will tell you that as it turned out, they were wrong. Everybody showed up, and it was a wonderful celebration.

I was thrilled to be able to photograph another wedding at one of my favorite local wedding venues, Cobb Hill Estate. Cobb Hill is home to some of the most vibrant and unforgettable sunsets anyone will ever see.

So on a beautiful hill with stunning views overlooking Mt. Monadnock and surrounded by their friends and family, Ali and Brad got married.

What a lively and fun group!

It was a warm and bright late summer day.

Maybe it was the breathtaking scenery, or perhaps it was seeing them so overjoyed and in love or probably it was a combination of both that brought tears to the eyes of nearly everyone in the wedding party.

The ceremony was very emotional for Ali and Brad’s friends.

As beautiful as sunsets are, they are fast! In the last few minutes of this sunset I used the bright and vibrant colors to frame their silhouettes.

I had a great time photographing Bridgette and Karl at one of their favorite parks in Keene, the Ashuelot River Park. I first met Karl last fall during a commercial shoot, and it was nice to spend some time photographing and getting to know the two of them as a couple.

The River Park has lots of good possibilities for photos, so we were able to avoid some of the harsh sun and strong winds we encountered that afternoon. They were a pleasure to work with, and I’m really excited to photograph their wedding this September.

When you book a beautiful venue like Cobb Hill Estate, you hope to have good weather to enjoy the view the place has to offer. With the ceremony only a half an hour away, I started to worry a little for Katie & Robert as I felt a few rain drops and saw the top of Mt. Monadnock shrouded in clouds. They had a very positive attitude about it all, though. The photos show what ended up happening with the weather and how blessed they were.

I had a chance to meet and get to know Katie & Robert a couple of times before the wedding, and I could tell I would enjoy working with them and photographing their wedding. They are very fun people, and their friends and families were great. Amazing venue, beautiful couple, and nice people made for some excellent photos from the day. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of their day.

The dancing started out slowly…

…but picked up pace pretty quickly.

What started out as a rainy day turned into a crystal clear night, a fitting closure for a great couple.

This was the first wedding I had photographed at Zorvino Vineyards, and I was excited to see that Mikaela and Bob made excellent venue choice for their wedding. They were very fortunate to have a clear day between two rainy days. We captured some great images of the fall color for their outdoor ceremony and portraits, and had a great time celebrating their day in the function hall.

a great lookout to scope out the guys arriving.

While Bob had to wait a little longer to see Mikaela, we did have a few
nice opportunities for bridal portraits inside before the ceremony.

Although they were officially married last year, Michael and Rieko had a vow renewal ceremony to include their families in their celebration and commitment to one another. It was a hot July day, but the rain took a welcome rest for their beautiful day.

I had a sense I would really enjoy working with Kim and Craig from the moment I first met them, and that was feeling was confirmed during their engagement session this week. We had a welcome break from the rain here in New England, and for a change I actually had to hide from the sun a little during our morning session at the Keene Country Club. Their wedding will be there next year, so it was a good opportunity for the three of us to take a look at the photographic opportunities we would have.

We had lots of fun and laughs. This session got me really excited to be their wedding photographer.

When John and Cathy described the venue for their small, private wedding ceremony, it sounded beautiful, and they were right. This was the first time I had been to St. Francis Chapel on Stone Pond, and I felt like I was driving along a remote loch in Scotland as I arrived. Like many days this summer in New England, there was rain in the forecast. Fortunately the rain held off, and the entire setting was shrouded in a lovely mist.

It was a wonderful ceremony, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to photograph their wedding. John & Cathy are very warm and kind people, which really shows in the photographs of them.

It was a nice intimate ceremony with just Cathy, John, the minister, his wife and two witnesses. There is not electricity in the chapel, but great natural light through the windows.

Cause to celebrate. The glass in Cathy's right hand is one they brought for me. I was touched by how thoughtful they were to include me in their celebration.

“Your wedding day was perfect,” I said to Emily and Jared after photographing their wedding. “That’s what your supposed to say, right?” Emily replied. “Yeah, but I’m not lying!” I said. It really was a perfect day. They had beautiful weather for a day full of activities and celebration at Stonewall Farm, wonderful catering by Luca’s, excellent music from the Birch Benders, and the company of great family and friends.
