Portrait Sessions | Animal Companions Welcome

My immediate family consists of my wife, our two children, and our two dogs, Jasper and Bella. Since my studio is located on the same property as our family home, I get to spend a lot of time with our pups. I try to get out daily for a bike ride. Jasper is my #1 companion on these rides. He LOVES to run! My Instagram is full of airborne photos of him leaping off jumps and flying down the trails. Bella is reaching her older years, and she prefers to stick around the house on our backyard trail or find a comfortable spot to sleep in the sun. Our dogs are a source of joy and comfort. I couldn't imagine life without them. I'm a firm believer that animal companions are family. That's why I always encourage my clients to bring their four-legged friends along to their portrait sessions. My suggestions of bringing along animal companions usually result in the family dog, but I've photographed sessions with horses, snakes, and even a duck named Kevin. I find that having animals around brings out a different energy in the photos. I usually try for an organized portrait of the whole family, but it's also fun to capture the kids as they run around and play or snuggle with their adored pooch.I frequently ask my Senior portrait clients if they have any animals that they'd like to bring along, and many of them do. Including these animals in their portraits provides an anchor in time to the photos that can be cherished as a memory for the rest of their lives. Many of my wedding clients also bring their dogs to their wedding and even have them walking down the aisle. While they may not have started to expand their family with children yet, their dogs are an important part of the life they've built together. I also offer portrait sessions just for your animals. Depending on the animal and your desired style, we can bring them into the studio. Or, I offer on-location outdoor sessions as well. If you're trying to decide whether or not to have your pets be a part of your next portrait session- take it from the photographer: YES! Bring them along, you won't regret it.

Call or email me to book your animal-friendly photography session today.
