An Elegant and Rustic Outdoor Mountain Top Inn and Resort Wedding
Leanne and Justin’s elegant and rustic outdoor Mountain Top Inn & Resort wedding is on the blog today! Here’s some details on planning their big day from the bride:
Any DIY elements?
Sooo many! Justin and I made the coasters that we have to guests as favors. We cut trees from my parents land and then cut the trees into coaster size and then sanded and polyurethaned the coasters over and over until they were perfect! In all we made close to 400 of them! I made the sign that was on the arbor where we got married, I made the open bar sign on the bar, I made the thank you sign in our pictures, we made the cufflinks that we have to the groomsman and fathers of the bride and groom.
What was your favorite detail of the day?
I loved my flowers! Cafe at lait dahlias! They were gorgeous!
What advice would you give another couple planning their wedding?
Get as much of the little details done as soon as possible! Don’t put them off because you think you’ll have time the week before the wedding!
Most memorable moment?
It is so hard to choose just one moment! If I had to pick it would be when I showed my dad my dress before the ceremony. He has been very sick and for years we were not sure that he would be here for my wedding, so being able to have that moment with my dad was the gift of a lifetime!!!
Any special traditions that help tell the story of your day?
We didn’t really do anything specific that I can think of? Since our families are close it meant a lot to both of us that they all stayed at mountain top for the weekend! Our families mean the world to us and it was great for everyone to really get to know each other and connect in the celebration!
Three words that sum up your day:
Magical, perfect, wonderful!
