Venue Spotlight | Mount Sunapee Resort
As a wedding photographer, my work often leads me to majestic views and charming rustic lodges. This week I’d like to highlight a venue that offers both! The Mount Sunapee Resort operates as a popular NH winter skiing destination. It is available for weddings and events throughout the rest of the year. Offering full service catering and wedding planning, they are a great option for folks wanting to hold their ceremony and reception in one incredible location. Imagine getting married at the 2,743 foot summit with 360 degree views of the surrounding lake and mountain region- breathtaking! Then you and your guests can ride the chairlift back down to the lodge for a reception in your honor.
There are many beautiful outdoor locations at the venue for us to focus on your portraits. I like taking a stroll with just the bride and groom next to the ponds. But of course, the summit provides an absolutely amazing view.
Once inside the lodge, one of my favorite aspects of the architecture is the lofted 2nd floor balcony which encircles and overlooks the dance floor. It’s a great way for me to capture the sweet moment of your first dance, or the rockin’ party post-dinner. Speaking of the food, the catering has always been excellent, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Expecting a large guest list? Mount Sunapee Resort can accommodate up to 225 guests and is handicap accessible!
